Curtin Heritage Living Inc. was founded in 1979 by local members of the community to ensure there would always be quality aged care for residents living in Cottesloe and Mosman Park. Our organisation is a viable and self-sustaining not-for-profit (NFP), and our goal has always been simple - to ensure our residents are able to continue a life well lived in the later years of their lives, in the area in which they grew up.

Due to recent growth in our resident population, we have multiple full-time opportunities for Registered Nurses to join our team.

The Opportunity

Working across our Marine Views Cottesloe and Riversea locations, you will join a close team that genuinely cares and puts residents at the forefront of everything they do. We focus on providing empathetic support for our residents, and treat them as we would our own family - we’re looking for people who will do the same!

You’ll be working in beautiful Cottesloe, with some of the most stunning views in WA and Australia, with amazing coast on the Indian Ocean, and only 15 minutes from Perth CBD. 

A strong focus on continuous improvement is important to us, as we’re always looking to do what’s best for our residents and provide them with the best possible care.

As one of our Registered Nurses, you will be responsible for working in shifts to coordinate a team and work collaboratively with all care staff. Our shifts are morning (7am - 2:45pm), evening (2:30pm - 10:15pm), and overnight (10pm - 7:15am), with our recurring roster based on your availability and needs.

Core duties:

• Coordinate shifts and allocating other care staff where needed
• Be the primary advocate for residents in your care
• Develop care plans with residents, their families, and other care staff
• Collaborate with medical, health, and pharmaceutical service providers to ensure holistic resident care
• Follow all regulations and reporting and champion accurate reporting
• Provide recommendations and ideas for continuous improvement across care and activity offerings

About You

As our newest Registered Nurse, you will be looking for an opportunity where you can be empathetic and provide care and support to residents, as well as support fellow care staff.

With a continuous improvement mindset, you will be excited to do what you can to improve resident care and quality of life.

You will have:

• A Bachelor of Nursing
• Experience (including placement experience) in nursing, preferably within an aged care environment
• Experience or interest in leadership and mentoring
• A caring nature 
• Passion for collaboration and teamwork
• A positive attitude
